This dragon lady figure comes from the fourth Tebodada of the Dharma Chinese Sutra. It is an allusion that the eight year old dragon lady of the Sarira Dragon King became a Buddha because she received the merits of the Dharma Chinese Sutra. According to the Fahua Sutra (Tevatada Prada), Manjusri Bodhisattva told Zhiji Bodhisattva at the Fahua Sutra meeting that the daughter of the Dragon King was only eight years old, so she could quickly become a Buddha by practicing the Fahua Sutra. When Zhiji Bodhisattva heard the words, he was very suspicious. At that time, the dragon lady suddenly appeared in the meeting, and saluted the Buddha with her head in Ket.
At that time, Sheriff told the Dragon Lady Cloud: 'The female body is filthy. It's not a magic tool. How can clouds get the supreme Bodhi?' The dragon lady offered the Buddha with her precious pearl, and then asked Sharifer and Zhijiyun, 'I offer the Buddha with this pearl, does the Buddha accept this pearl's disease?' Zhiji and Sharifu said, 'Very ill'. The dragon lady said again, 'I am still fast in becoming a Buddha.' At that time, all the people in the meeting saw that the dragon lady suddenly became a man with a Bodhisattva line. That is, she went to the southern world, sat on the lotus platform, and became enlightened. She had thirty-two aspects, eighty good things, and was generally a wonderful method for all living beings to speak in ten directions. Therefore, Bodhisattva, Shengwen, Tianlong Babu, human and non human beings in the Saha world saluted them. Zhiji and Sharifer also silently believed.
