Changshu Yanzi Tomb and Zhongyong Tomb【 Travel in 2022 】

      After Shajiabang came out, I took the bus to the downtown and found it in Yushan Yanzi Tomb and Zhongyong Tomb, and then paid a visit.

    Yanzi Tomb, the square is a three room skyward style, high 4.65m, 9.68m wide. In the sixth year of Yongzheng era (1728), Susong Changdao Wang Chenghui built a wall.

    Yanzi (front 506-443 BC), named Yan, with the word Ziyou, also known as Shu, was born in Changshu. The only southerner among Confucius' 3000 disciples in the Spring and Autumn Period. Later generations called him "Yanzi" out of respect for him. Yan Yan was born in Wu and learned from Confucius in the State of Lu when he was an adult. Judging from the fact that Yan Yan was 45 years younger than Confucius, he should be a student of Confucius in his later years. Confucius had three thousand disciples and seventy-two sages. Yan Yan was one of seventy-two sages. He was good at literature (referring to historical documents), once served as the governor of Wucheng in the State of Lu, expounded Confucius' theory, and educated the people with rites and music. The sound of string songs was everywhere in the territory, which was praised by Confucius.

    Zhongyong Tomb is located at the east foot of Yushan Mountain, Changshu, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of about 2160 square meters, about 3000 years ago, is the oldest ancient tomb with historical research in Changshu.

    Zhongyong, also known as Yuzhong, was the second son of King Tai of Zhou. Because King Tai of Zhou wanted to establish his youngest son, Ji Li, he and his elder brother, Taibo, avoided the south of the Yangtze River and established the State of Wu. Later, because Taibo had no son, Zhongyong succeeded to the throne and became the king of Wu. After his death, he was buried in Wumu Mountain in Changshu, so Wumu Mountain was renamed Yushan Mountain.
