The night before yesterday, I attended the [China Wine Dinner]. Thanks to Lu Ting's invitation. The dinner was held in the stop and view pavilion of Michelin One Star Restaurant, and we met Daniel, a familiar resident of the drinking art team, as well as the young sommeliers who were also partners in the dinner.

Every year, there are always several wine producing areas that must be visited because they are developing rapidly and there are always some surprises there.

Ningxia is one of them.

A week ago, I left for Yinchuan to participate in the 2022 dealer conference of Yinchuan wine production area at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain hosted by Yinchuan wine production area as a media.

For me, it is also the best opportunity to learn the latest changes and wine strength of the wine producing areas at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain.

 

I just saw a news that Ningxia Xige, a popular domestic wine brand, decided to cooperate with Jiajia, an old boutique wine producer in Shanxi.

When it comes to Jiajia, an old boutique wine dealer in Shanxi, it must be mentioned that the benchmark Chinese boutique wine winery, Shanxi Yiyuan Vineyard, grew up with mutual support. Jiajia's sales often accounted for half of Yiyuan's sales, firmly eating the Shanxi market.

With the expansion and listing, Yiyuan Winery has had higher market requirements a few years ago and has developed more partners to disperse the risk of relying too much on a single channel (Jiajia's sales account is too high). In the first half of this year, 11 new dealers were added in Shanxi, a total of 12 dealers.

Now Jiajia has more partners according to this concept.

But to tell the truth, Xige is fierce enough to dig into Yiyuan's lair directly, and the two strong boutique wine brands are directly fighting against each other.

A few days ago, I participated in a New York wine online auction. Because of the epidemic, the on-site auction was basically online. Generally speaking, the competition near the bid closing time will be very fierce.

This time I made a mistake. Because of the time difference, the bid was closed the next morning Beijing time. I usually bid before going to bed the night before.

I was a little sleepy, and sent out the prices of some interesting wines. At this time, I saw a dry white that I was interested in. Because someone had already offered a price, I estimated a price that I could accept according to the market price. At the same time, there was a great chance that the price would be just higher than the previous offer. To be honest, the price was just the critical value for leak detection, and the price was offered.

Then looking at the wine list, I didn't expect that there were several lots of this wine, and the highest bid was one or two units lower than the previous one. I felt a little bad at once. In addition, I was sleepy. In order to balance my mind, I made a list at my price.

A friend came to ask whether to buy Bordeaux wine and whether it is meaningful to invest in Bordeaux wine this year.

The trend of Bordeaux boutique wine has been weak in the past two years. In addition to a few wineries (such as Lafleur, a traditional low bid wine that has been released these days), most of them are difficult to make money. In addition, both China and the United States, the two most important Bordeaux boutique wine markets in the world, have encountered economic difficulties, trade wars, and the new crown epidemic. Although there are many economic stimulus policies, it is expected that the economic recovery will not be so smooth in the next year or two.

Therefore, in the next year or two, the international market of Bordeaux fine wine is unlikely to improve. If it is an investment, it is not very meaningful. If you simply like some wineries and the wine rating performance of this year, you can buy it from the perspective of collection, without demanding profit appreciation.
