On June 7, in Miyun, Beijing, the 2024 National Four Season "Village Evening" Demonstration Exhibition and Xiwengzhuang Drama Season opened. This drama season was jointly created by the People's Government of Xiwengzhuang Town, nine professional art troupes under Beijing Performing Arts Group, and Wulan Muqi in Kulun Banner, Inner Mongolia. During the event, these art troupes will move from the theater stage to the countryside, and give wonderful performances to citizens in cultural and tourism scenes such as featured homestays, rural courtyards, and field camps.

"Village Evening" in Xiwengzhuang Town was listed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a demonstration activity of "Four Seasons Village Evening" in 2024. Based on the principle of "thrifty, pragmatic, low-carbon and highlighting local cultural characteristics", the "Village Evening" and "Drama Season" will be held together. The opening ceremony set up three activity segments, namely, rural revitalization small market, off-site immersion performance and on-site performance at the opening ceremony, covering a variety of cultural and artistic programs such as Chinese traditional opera, crosstalk, Pingju, children's drama, acrobatics, etc.

It is reported that during this year's drama season, in addition to special performances, the performance teams of these professional troupes and the literary and artistic teams of the villages in Xiwengzhuang Town will jointly carry out "flash show" performances, compress the large special shows, increase small and refined small performances, invite performers to the homestays, farms and camps in Xiwengzhuang Town, and create a drama season close to the citizens.

At the event site, Xiwengzhuang Town also signed a cooperation framework agreement with the School of Culture and Communication of Capital University of Economics and Business, the School of Arts of Beijing Union University, the Performance Department of Beijing City University, and the Performance Department of China Academy of Drama. These universities will use their own resource advantages to help Xiwengzhuang build a characteristic brand of "small town with drama".

"I hope to organically combine the professional advantages, talent advantages, platform advantages of the school with the ecological advantages, resource advantages, and regional advantages of Xiwengzhuang Town, and promote cooperation between the two sides in talent training, cultural and tourism development, rural revitalization, and ecological environment." Chen Lin, a university representative and director of the Performance Department of Beijing City University, said that she hopes to work with Xiwengzhuang Town to achieve the integration of politics and school We will continue to write a new chapter in rural revitalization by developing greater linkage and sharing results.

It is worth mentioning that this drama season is in the peak summer tourism season, and the performance season will strive to create more than ten wonderful audio-visual feasts, promote the integrated development of regional culture and tourism, and ignite the summer travel enthusiasm of citizens with wonderful literary and artistic activities.
