At the activity site, the street commended advanced collectives and individuals such as Beijing Municipal Domestic Waste Classification Demonstration Community, demonstration buildings, outstanding party members, outstanding environmental sanitation, etc., and launched the garbage classification publicity week activity of "practicing new fashion and volunteering in classification", and presented flags to the garbage classification volunteer service teams in 11 communities.

It is reported that since the implementation of the new version of Beijing Municipal Domestic Waste Management Regulations, West Chang'an Street has continuously mobilized all sectors of society and residents to actively participate in waste classification, insisting on positively guiding residents to form their own awareness and habit of putting in garbage. Li Jipeng, director of the West Chang'an Street Sub district Office, introduced that the sub district continued to strengthen and standardize the construction of the recyclable system. In combination with the actual situation of the district, the "one bag" door-to-door recycling and "one bag" self-service delivery services were vigorously carried out to reduce the source of garbage, with the goal of "getting the full amount of what should be distributed and what should be collected". In addition, the street has strengthened the recycling of recyclables, especially low value waste, carried out the construction of recyclables demonstration communities, carried out special recycling activities for small and used household appliances, waste textiles, and waste glass, and improved the construction of recyclables system.
