On May 18, the promotion meeting of "Going to Wuxiang in Taihang" old revolutionary base area Wuxiang in Beijing was held. Wuxiang County is located at the west foot of Taihang Mountain, the southeast of Shanxi Province, the northernmost of Changzhi City, with a total area of 1610 square kilometers and a total population of 210000. Wuxiang County is famous for the former site of the Eighth Route Army headquarters.

He Siyu said that as an old revolutionary base area, Wuxiang County is an important breeding ground for Taihang spirit. In recent years, Wuxiang County has made great efforts to improve the urban and rural landscape, further promote the integration of red culture and tourism, accelerate the construction of "three demonstration counties" of urban and rural integrated development, red tourism integrated development, and green low-carbon development, and strive to build Wuxiang better, so that people in Wuxiang can live a better life.

It is reported that in 2023, Wuxiang County and Xicheng District of Beijing will sign a counterpart cooperation framework agreement. The agreement combines the resource endowments, industrial foundation and development level of Xicheng and Wuxiang, and conducts in-depth cooperation in key areas such as Taihang spirit inheritance, revolutionary cultural relics protection, red tourism creation, scientific and technological innovation, and talent exchange in accordance with the principle of extensive participation led by the government, pragmatic and efficient consensus, mutual benefit and win-win advantages, and extensive publicity, We reached a consensus on cooperation in eight areas, namely, inheriting and promoting red culture, talent exchange, cultural tourism, education and health, urbanization, and promoting rural revitalization, ecological protection, industrial development, and economic and trade services.

As an old revolutionary base area, there are many red sites in Wuxiang County. In order to further promote the Taihang spirit, Wuxiang County has carried out various activities in Beijing, planting a patch of red star poplar, holding a red lecture, singing a revolutionary song together and other ways to make the Taihang spirit shine new light.

At the promotion meeting, Chang Binjie, member of the Standing Committee of the Wuxiang County Party Committee and head of the organization department, on behalf of Wuxiang County, issued cooperation plaques to the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering of North China Electric Power University, School of Economics and Management of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Beijing Technology and Business University; Some colleges and enterprises signed contracts with the People's Government of Wuxiang County, Shanxi Taihang Cadre College, Shanxi "Taihang fertile soil" agricultural products Co., Ltd., and Wuxiang County Quanyu Tourism Investment Development Co., Ltd.
