Zhou Guanghui, director of the Second Rail Division of Beijing Major Projects Office, said that at present, all projects under construction are progressing steadily in accordance with the goal of schedule nodes. The reporter learned that this year's rail transit construction will achieve the overall goal of "three connections, two openings, one station and five entrances". Among them, "three connections" refers to the initial operation of three 45.3 km lines (sections), including the first phase of Line 3 (Dongsishitiao Dongfeng), Line 12 (Sijiqingqiao Dongfeng), and the remaining section of Changping Line South Extension Phase I (Xitucheng Jimenqiao), by which time Beijing's urban rail transit mileage will exceed 880 km.

Jimenqiao Station is the transfer station of Metro Line 12 and Changping Line, which will be put into operation with the opening of the new line this year. After Jimenqiao Station is put into use, citizens along Changping Line can directly reach the North Third Ring Road without transfer, further facilitating travel. At the same time, the transfer between two lines is also very convenient. The reporter noticed that the station halls of Line 12 and Changping Line are arranged in a "T" shape on the same floor, and there is no transfer channel. The shortest transfer distance between the two lines is only 20 meters. Passengers can avoid "mountain crossing" transfer in the future.

In addition, this year's rail transit construction will also realize the full commencement of the construction of the branch line of Line 1 and the first phase of Line M101. At present, the construction of the branch line of Line 1 has been commenced on January 18, and the construction bidding work of Line M101 Phase I is being promoted. "One station with five entrances" means that five entrances and exits of one station of the open line are put into operation, namely, Entrance D2 of Zhufang North Station and Xueyuanqiao Station of Phase I of Changping Line South Extension, Entrance B and C of Yizhuang Railway Station, Entrance A2 of Futong Station of Line 14 and Entrance D of Xingong Station of Daxing Line. At present, various projects are advancing as planned.
