People's Daily, Beijing, August 28 (Xinhua) On the morning of August 26, at the Jingliang Yuegu Home Vaccination Center, Nanyuan Street, Fengtai District, Beijing, students who came to get vaccinated were queuing up in order, showing their health codes at the entrance and measuring their body temperature before getting vaccinated. A parent said, "After receiving the notice of the second shot, let the child get vaccinated immediately. After two shots of vaccine before school, the whole family got vaccinated!"

Cui Wenjian, director of the Sports and Health Center of Beijing Fengtai District Education Commission, introduced that in order to do a good job of vaccination for people aged 12-17, Fengtai District Education Commission sent "resident section chiefs" at each vaccination site for on-site coordination, and linked the district's disease control, local streets and school services to ensure that students get vaccinated quickly, safely and orderly. At the same time, in order to avoid gathering and waiting time being too long, the District Education Committee organizes students to vaccinate in batches according to grades and classes, and gives full service to ensure the vaccination work. As of August 25, 29990 students aged 12-17 years old in junior high schools, senior high schools and vocational high schools under the education system of the whole district had been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine, with a coverage rate of 97.70%.

Four doctors, six nurses, a medical security team and a 120 ambulance were arranged at the vaccination site to participate in the vaccination work. Xing Fang, deputy director of Heyi Community Health Service Center, introduced that in order to ensure the vaccination order, a special vaccination session was specially set up for students. After they signed the Informed Consent for Vaccination and confirmed their physical condition, they could be vaccinated. After vaccination, the staff will indicate the vaccination time on the informed consent form of each student to ensure that students can observe in the viewing area for 30 minutes to ensure the safety of vaccination.

At the scene, from the waiting area, the registration area to the vaccination area and the observation area, there are staff to guide and maintain order. Liu Liyan, deputy director of the People's Livelihood Security Office of Nanyuan Street, said that the street had assigned special personnel to take charge of temperature measurement and code verification, and optimized the vaccination process to avoid personnel crossing. Considering that some students may come for vaccination on an empty stomach, candy, bread, mineral water and other foods are also prepared to prevent students from hypoglycemia, and also to alleviate anxiety.

According to Liu Peng, deputy director of Fengtai District Health Commission, 12-17 year olds are the top priority of the current COVID-19 vaccination work. Since the comprehensive start of vaccination in the middle and late July to August 25, Fengtai District has cumulatively vaccinated 45100 people of this age group, 57200 doses, and is expected to complete the whole vaccination process by the end of September. The health system will fully cooperate with the education department to do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic situation on campus and ensure that students start school safely.
