This hub can also realize the charging function, but it is only an ordinary charging, and does not support various fast charging protocols, otherwise the power consumption will be greatly increased. Even an external charger will make the computer and the hub unbearable.
Next, we test the transmission speed of the hub. Because the transmission speed is limited by the hardware and my computer configuration is relatively backward, the limit speed will not be tested. Just test whether the use of the hub has an impact on the transmission speed. My method is to use the USB3.0 device and the computer to directly transmit data and use the hub to indirectly transmit data, and compare the data of the two use cases horizontally.
Daddy uses a 32GB USB 3.0 USB flash disk, and the test software is CrystalDiskMark. First, test the USB flash disk directly connected to the computer interface, and you can see that the maximum reading speed is 150.8MB/s, and the maximum writing speed is 70.88MB/s.
Next, we test the use of the hub. The maximum read speed is 152.3MB/s, and the maximum write speed is 60.03MB/s. It can be seen that the read speed is slightly higher than the previous one, but the write speed has been affected, down about 10MB/s.
To ensure the integrity of the test, we connect the hub to an external power supply. Other conditions remain unchanged. The maximum read speed is 151.1MB/s, and the maximum write speed is 60.01MB/s. The test results are the same as those without power supply.
The conclusion is that the reading speed of this hub is basically not affected, but the writing speed is partially limited. In addition, the father also used a mobile hard disk during the test, but the result was that the mobile hard disk could not be brought. After communicating with Taobao customer service, it was confirmed that the mobile hard disk could not be moved, and it could also be affected by the computer hardware. The specific situation was unknown. However, if I use a hard disk now, I will directly connect to the computer. Anyway, I use a hub, and other USB ports have been completely liberated.
