Moreover, the deep black chassis was really a bit depressed in my desk. Forced open chassis was too easy to be favored by dust, and I was unwilling to do so.
Now that I have this opportunity, I will certainly start with the sea view room chassis that I have long liked.
What is the first element of selecting sea view room chassis? The so-called material, functionality, and extensibility, all of them, please get out of my way! In my opinion, the first element must be appearance! The table is designed to please yourself. No matter how functional it is, it can't look uncomfortable. What's the point? (Of course, the really good sea view room case material and function expansion will not be bad)
After several choices, I bought the Seaview Room chassis of Thermaltake (TT) - Steel Shadow · Penetrating EX chassis.
The package of this case is different from the common yellow paper box in terms of appearance, and the color printed cardboard box shows all the high appearance of the product, which makes me full of expectations for it.
Now when I buy this case, I will give you the peripheral decorations of the "Yao Xiaomiao", a secondary character, a magnet standing brand matching the case. I also bought two pairs of ARGB fans in the TT shop to make up the transparent chassis.
Little gossip, just unpack and assemble! The chassis is not very expensive, but the manufacturer is willing to work on packaging materials. The package is in place and the case is in good condition.
This steel shadow transparent EX sea view room chassis produced by Thermaltake (TT). The size of 425mmx285mmx410mm is not very large. Compared with the chassis of ordinary seascape room, the height is reduced and the width is increased, and the transparent space is concentrated as much as possible.
This chassis can not only accommodate the Mini ITX motherboard, M-ATX motherboard, but also the size of the ATX motherboard.
Let's unpack. The side panel (transparent plate), top cover plate and back panel are all removed.
The rectangular space on the left is the power space. The power and hard disk space are placed on this side. The large space is reserved for visual enjoyment!
The chassis supports ATX power supply, and the hardware removed this time can match perfectly.
The whole chassis adopts a large area of perforated cooling design, and the front panel, back, top and bottom of the chassis all adopt perforated design, which greatly improves the cooling efficiency.
The space below is hard disk bit. Both HDD and SSD of mechanical hard disk can be loaded, and only one mechanical hard disk can be loaded. Considering that almost all people now have solid state drives, mechanical hard disks, even if installed, are also large capacity storage disks, so the disk locations are sufficient.
The installed mechanical hard disk will have a well-designed window for connecting power and data cables. The design is ingenious and full of caution.
The motherboard and the old water-cooling were installed in the chassis, and suddenly I found that I had a big mistake - actually, I should buy a black chassis and fan
Just look at the white chassis, forget that the motherboard and water-cooling are both black, so the overall feeling is lost.
But then again, after installing the magnetic suction plate, I really feel it.
The chassis supports graphics cards within 415mm, but I use CPU core display, and the length of the single display is temporarily ignored.
The top of the PENEX chassis supports 360 water cooling, but since my old chassis was originally equipped with 240 water cooling, it seems that there is a gap after this translation. You can make up for it when you upgrade 360 water cooling in the future!
Finally, wiring. Speaking of wiring, we can focus on the I/O panel of the chassis. In addition to the common power on key, restart key, microphone, audio interface and USB interface (one in 3.0 and 2.0), the I/O panel of the chassis also provides Type-c interface, which can greatly facilitate the daily use needs. In order to ensure the speed, They are all equipped with USB-C wire, so this time there is no worry.
Each box of CT120 fan is equipped with two ARGB fans, four of which are two boxes. This installation is enough.
Considering the position of the "Yao Xiaomiao" magnetic suction plate, the two fan positions of the main board are reserved for the magnetic suction plate, one of the four fans is installed on the rear board, and the other three are installed at the bottom. In fact, at first I wanted to install one at the air port next to the top water cooling, but I found that the space occupied by the water cooling exhaust was too large to install fans at the remaining positions, so I had to give up.
Look at the effect. In fact, this fan can directly replace the old fan on the water-cooling, but I was lazy and didn't replace it. Because I am ready to directly replace a white 360 fan, let the old water-cooling work for a while.
This chassis can support 10 fans in total, but if all the 10 fans are installed in place, there is no place to put the "Yao Xiaomiao" magnetic suction plate, so my current scheme is reasonable, which guarantees both performance and appearance.
The large area perforated heat dissipation design of this case is matched with the 10 fan position design, which effectively ensures the powerful heat dissipation effect.
