Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive and developing cloud computing platform provided by Amazon.com. Web services are sometimes referred to as cloud services or remote computing services. The first AWS was launched in 2006 to provide online services for websites or client applications.
In order to minimize the impact of power failure and ensure the stability of the system, AWS is distributed to various regions. There are AWS central hubs in the eastern and western parts of the United States, Brazil, Ireland, Singapore, Japan and Australia. Each region consists of several smaller geographical regions called availability zones.
The growing AWS set can provide more than thirty different services, including:
  • CloudDrive, It allows users to upload or access music video , file, or image. The service also ensures that users stream music to their devices.
  • CloudSearch, This is an extensible search service, usually used to integrate customized search functions into other applications.
  • Dynamo database (also called DynamoDB or DDB) is a fully hosted, low latency, scalable NoSQL database service.
  • Elastic Compute Cloud, It allows enterprise users to run applications and can also act as an almost unlimited set of virtual machines.
  • ElastiCache, A fully hosted cache service, which complies with the Memcached protocol, is an open source, high-performance, distributed memory object cache system, and accelerates dynamic Web applications by reducing database load.
  • Mechanical Turk, An application program interface (API), developers can use the network to apply human intelligence to remote procedure calls (RPCs) to perform tasks that computers cannot complete.
  • RedShift, The PB level data warehouse service designed for analysis is connected to SQL based clients and business intelligence tools.
  • Simple Storage Service (S3), a scalable, high-speed, low-cost service designed for online backup and archiving of data and applications.
All AWS products are charged according to the usage. Fees vary according to service. [1]
