Wei Xiaopeng, male, Han nationality, from Dalian, Liaoning Province, was born in May 1959, joined the Communist Party of China in April 1986, and started working in September 1982. He graduated from the computer aided design and graphics major of the Mechanics Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology as an on-the-job doctoral candidate and professor.

Selected cases involving bribery
On September 18, 2016, Liaoning Daily reported that Wei Xiaopeng, secretary of the Party Committee of Fudan University, was involved in the election of deputies to the National People's Congress for votes and bribes.[5][7]
Removal from office
On October 12, 2016, the head of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China announced at Fudan University the decision of the CPC Central Committee to appoint the Secretary of the Party Committee of Fudan University: to remove Wei Xiaopeng from the post of Secretary of the Party Committee of Fudan University.[4][6]
