Also known as Atshanah. Now Tell Acana.
The ancient city of Syria, now known as Tyler Achana, is located in the Orontes (Asi) River basin, in the present Hatay Province of Turkey. Archaeological excavations were carried out from 1936 to 1949, and many buildings were unearthed, including Yalim? Yarim Lim Palace. Alalah was originally the capital of Mukish region. However, because it is located at the border and is often attacked by foreign enemies, it was destroyed by maritime nationalities shortly after 1200 BC.
