Funing Liyang Expressway, referred to as "Funing Liyang Expressway", is China'sJiangsu ProvinceThe expressway line within the territory is part of the third vertical "Funing Yixing" in the "fifteen radiation, six vertical lines and ten horizontal lines" layout of the expressway network in Jiangsu Province[1]。
On February 6, 2024, Jianhu Xinghua section of Fuli Expressway (Jianxing Expressway) will be officially opened to traffic.[22][26]
In 2006, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province approved the Jiangsu Provincial Highway Network Planning (2006-2015), which is arranged as "five vertical, nine horizontal and five couplets", of which "three couplets" is "Taizhou to Danyang via Yangzhong, with a total length of 80 kilometers"[1-2]。
On December 26, 2007, the bridge along the line connecting Taizhou via Yangzhong to Danyangtaizhou bridge (also known as "Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge") commenced construction[3]。
In 2009, according to the original national standard《Highway route identification rules and national highway number》(GB/T 917-2009, replaced by GB/T 917-2017 in September 2017), Jiangsu Province numbers other lines outside the national expressway, and the connecting line of "Taizhou via Yangzhong to Danyang" is planned to be named Taizhou Zhenjiang Expressway（Taizhen Expressway）, numbered S35 of Suzhou Expressway.
In 2011, the construction of Changzhou Liyang Expressway (also known as "Changzhou Hefei Expressway Liyang Branch Line" or "Liyang Branch Line" for short, which is a supplementary plan after 2009) started[4]。The line is connected to Nanjing Changzhou Expressway in the east (i.eChanghe Expressway, upgraded toShanghai Wuhan Expressway）, connecting Zhenli Expressway in the west (i.eYangzhou Liyang Expressway）The total length of the route is 38.4 km, which is constructed according to the standard of four lane expressway. The subgrade width is 28 meters, and the design driving speed is 120 km/h[5]。
On January 1, 2012, Funing Jianhu Expressway, the local planned expressway in Yancheng City（Fujian Expressway）Commencement of construction[6]；Fujian Expressway is located in Jiangsu Province“County to county expressway”Closing project of[7]。In March, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province approved to add Funing Xinghua Taizhou Expressway (also known as "Yancheng Huai'an Expressway Fuxingtai Branch Line" or "Fuxingtai Branch Line"), and decided to build Xinghua Taizhou Section in advance[8]；Fuxingtai Expressway is one of the projects listed in the provincial highway network planning. It starts from Xingou Town, Funing County, passes through Jianhu, Yandu, Xinghua and Jiangyan, and finally ends at the Juxi hub of Qiyang Expressway, with a total length of 122.984 kilometers. It is divided into three phases, namely, Funing Jianhu Expressway, Jianhu Xinghua Expressway and Xinghua Taizhou Expressway[9]；The Weitai Town Expressway of Xingtai Section extends northward to the vicinity of the urban area of Xinghua City[8]。In October of the same year, the construction of Funing Jianhu section of Fu Xingtai Expressway was commenced. On November 25, Taizhou Bridge was completed and opened to traffic[10]。
In June 2014, the whole Taizhou section of Taizhen Expressway was started[11-12]。Taizhen Expressway starts from Yuxi Hub, Hailing District, Taizhou City in the north and ends at Danyang New Area Hub, Danyang City, Zhenjiang City in the south.
In September 2015, Liyang Branch Line was completed and opened to traffic[13]；In October, Zhenjiang section of Taizhou Zhenjiang Expressway (from Dagang Hub to Danyang New Area Hub in the south of Taizhou Bridge, also known as "Zhenjiang Danyang Expressway", abbreviated as“Zhendan Expressway”）Start construction.On November 2 of the same year, Fujian Section of Fuxingtai Branch Line was completed and opened to traffic[14]；The line starts from the west of Funing County in the north and crosses Xinchang Railway in the south. The line connecting Lianhuaiyan Expressway and the planned Funing Xinghua Taizhou Expressway is 36.204 kilometers long. It adopts the standard of two-way four lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 km/h. The designed vehicle load level of bridges and culverts is highway level I[7]。
At 13:00 on December 28, 2016, Taizhou (Hailing) Gaogang Section of Taizhen Expressway was the first to open to traffic.This section is connected to the Yuxi hub of Qiyang Expressway in the north, to the north of Taizhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge and to Xuanbao hub of Ningtong Expressway in the south, with Hailing Interchange, Taizhou East Interchange, Dasi Interchange and Dasi Service Area in the middle.The total length of the route is 27.8 kilometers. The whole line is designed according to the standard of two-way four lane expressway. The design width of the subgrade is 28 meters, the design speed is 120 kilometers/hour, and the design vehicle load level of bridges and culverts is highway level I[12]。
On December 8, 2017, Xingtai Section of Fuxingtai Branch Line was completed and opened to traffic[15]Xingtai section is 35.662km long, starting from Lincheng Street, Xinghua City, passing through Jiangyan District, and ending at Yuxi Hub, Hailing District. The whole line is constructed according to the standard of two-way four lane expressway. The subgrade of general sections is 28m wide and the design speed is 120km/h[16]。
On September 30, 2018, the Zhenjiang section of Taizhen Expressway (Zhendan Expressway) was completed and opened to traffic, and the whole line of Taizhen Expressway was opened to traffic[17]；On October 1, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province approved the Jiangsu Provincial Highway Plan (2017-2035). According to the new plan, the northern end of the Taizhen Expressway numbered "Su Expressway S35" was extended to Funing County, Yancheng City, and the southern end was extended to Liyang City, Changzhou City. The name was changed to "Funing Liyang Expressway", referred to as "Fu Li Expressway", with the number unchanged,The original Fuxingtai branch line (Su Expressway S75) and the original Liyang branch line (Su Expressway S85) both attract income from the new Fu Li Expressway[1]。
In June 2019, the feasibility study report of Jianhu Xinghua Section of Fuli Expressway (formerly Fuxingtai Branch) project has passed the expert review organized by Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission[9]。
On July 17, 2020, the feasibility study report of Jianhu Xinghua Section of Funing Liyang Expressway was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
On January 21, 2021, all the construction units of subgrade, bridge and culvert in Yancheng of Jianhu Xinghua section of Fuli Expressway have entered the site, and all the work has been promoted rapidly.The planned construction period is from January 2021 to December 2022 (the roadbed shall be handed over for inspection before the end of September 2022), a total of 24 months, and the defect liability period is 24 months.
At 8:18 a.m. on February 16, 2022, the first 30m precast box girder was successfully erected after the resumption of the Yibei Line Bridge of the JHX-YC4 standard of Fuli Expressway, marking a breakthrough in the construction of the Yibei Line Bridge.[18]On November 30, the middle core section of Funing Liyang ExpresswayJianxing ExpresswayOfYanbao Super Major BridgeThe main bridge is closed.[19]
In May 2023, with the successful erection of the last box girder, the main line of Yancheng Bid Section 3 of Jianxing Section (Jianhu Xinghua) of Jiangsu Funing Liyang Expressway (Funing Liyang) contracted by CCCC First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd.[20]
On January 30, 2024, the Jianhu Xinghua section of Fuli Expressway completed the construction task ahead of schedule, and successfully passed the handover and acceptance.[21]On February 6, the Jianhu Xinghua section of S35 Fu Li Expressway was officially opened to traffic.[23]Jianxing Expressway starts from the Jiulongkou hub at the intersection of Yanluo Expressway, connects the Funing Jianhu section of the existing Fuli Expressway, passes through Jianhu County and Yandu District in the south, passes on the west side of Dazong Lake, and ends at Xinghua South Interchange. The total length of the route is 71.72 kilometers. It adopts the standard of two-way four lane expressway, and the design speed is 120 kilometers per hour.[26]So far, this large longitudinal channel in central Jiangsu, which starts from Funing County, Yancheng City and ends at Liyang City, Changzhou City, has been completed.[24]
