Consolidated development
In May 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the former Jianghan Petroleum Institute, Hubei Agricultural University, Jingzhou Normal University, and Hubei Medical College of Health Workers were merged to form Changjiang University。[1]After its establishment, Changjiang University was granted the right to confer a doctor's degree in 2006, and was approved to establish a post doctoral research mobile station in 2009。[77]

It is a comprehensive academic journal of natural science introduction, a statistical source journal of China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, a journal edited by China Core Journal (Selection) Database, and a journal of China Academic Journal (CD), China Journal Network, Wanfang Data - Digital Journals GroupChinese Science and Technology Journals Database and other full text collections.The journal has three permanent columns of "domestic first-class discipline construction discipline": "geological resources and geological engineering", "oil and gas engineering", "agriculture and biotechnology". The Jingzhou Campus of Changjiang University is located at No. 1, South Ring Road, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province[1]，It is divided into east and west campuses[51]。As of August 2023, there are Agricultural College, Gardening College, Animal Science and Technology College, Life Science College, etc. in the west campus, and Marxism College, Information and Mathematics College, Foreign Languages College, Arts College, Education and Sports College, Medical Department, etc. in the east campus[52]。
The Wuhan Campus of Yangtze University is located at No. 111, Daxue Road, Caidian Street, Caidian District, Wuhan, Hubei Province. The Wuhan Campus was put into use in March 2012.
