Quality tools are scientific methods for statistical analysis and decision-making on the distribution of quality data, quality influencing factors, quality process and quality improvement. Common tools of quality engineering include quantitative quality analysis tools, qualitative quality analysis tools, and the most powerful tool of quality design. [1]
Use statistical methods to monitor the status of the process and determine the problems that can be solved by SPC in order to reduce the variation of product quality when the production process is under control. 1. Economy: effective sampling control, no full inspection, defective rate, and cost control. Make the process stable, and grasp the quality, cost and delivery time. 2. Early warning: the abnormal trend of the manufacturing process can be dealt with immediately to prevent the whole batch of defects and reduce waste. 3. Distinguish special causes: as a reference for local problem countermeasures or management system improvement. 4. Make good use of machinery and equipment: estimate the machine capacity, and properly arrange appropriate machines to produce appropriate parts. 5. Evaluation of improvement: process capability can be used as an indicator for comparison before and after improvement.
