State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Biology of Family Planning rely on Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences laboratory It is a national team engaged in innovative research on reproductive biology of family planning. It was one of the seven "21st Century Reproductive Contraception Network Centers" set up by the Rockefeller Foundation of the United States in the world, and one of the six "Embryo Implantation Research Centers" set up by the WHO/Rockefeller Foundation in the world.

In 1991, the key laboratory was officially opened to the public. The laboratory is subject to National Population and Family Planning Commission And the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Under the dual leadership of the National Population and Family Planning Commission and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Successive laboratory directors include: researcher Zhuang Linzhi, researcher Zhu Cheng, Duan Enkui researcher, Sun Qingyuan researcher. Current laboratory director Zhou Qi Researcher, Academician Pei Gang, Director of the Academic Committee. The members of the Academic Committee are composed of 22 well-known professors (researchers) in the field of reproductive biology in China, including 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; At present, the laboratory has 67 fixed members, 21 researchers, 8 associate researchers, 4 senior engineers and experimenters, 17 assistant researchers, and 17 intermediate and junior personnel.
