Yanfen Thatched Cottage was built in the middle of the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795) of the Qing Dynasty, and was initially a pawn. In 1978, the houses near the street and Wuyanzhai were demolished for digging the Shihe River. Three buildings, Sikong Room, Beiyuan Xiashan Tower and Sibuqunzhai, were transformed into residential buildings; Yanfen Thatched Cottage and Yizhiju were borrowed as office and dormitory buildings by the county division office in the 1980s, and their doors and windows were demolished and changed. In 1990, the Division Office moved out. In 1991, two buildings, Yanfen Thatched Cottage and Yizhiju, were taken over by the cultural department; Shuangfeng Stone House has always been inhabited by descendants of Jiang family.
