In 1949, it belonged to Dingxin District;In April 2004, Shuangcheng Township and Tiancang Township were merged to form Aerospace Town.[2]As of June 2020, Hangtian Town has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages and one village level unit,[4]The town people's government is in Heping Village.[2]
