Yucheng PosthouseWorld Heritage and National 4A Tourist Attraction.[21]Located in Guanyi Lane, Nanmen Street, Gaoyou City, it was built in the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375), but most of the buildings were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.[20]It is a "living fossil" of China's post station, the largest and best preserved ancient post station in China, and a post building left over from the Ming Dynasty.[21]
The original scale of the post station was huge. Gaoyou Zhenguo Temple Tower, built in 874.Also known as the West Pagoda, it is known as the "Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the South".It is a square seven storey pavilion style brick tower with a height of 35.36 meters. The top of the tower is a bronze cast gourd, and the surface of the gourd is engraved with the words "good weather, peaceful country and people".The tower body is built with blue bricks, 25 meters high, and is square.The top of the pagoda is a four cornered and pointed type, with a two meter high gourd shaped copper pagoda standing on the top. Gaoyou Ming Qing CanalIt is a world heritage site and a national key cultural relics protection unit.[79]It starts from Jieshou Town of Gaoyou in the north and ends at Gaoyou Town in the south, with a total length of 30 kilometers. Now there is no water.The old canal of Gaoyou Ming and Qing Dynasties is an important part of the Grand Canal. This section of the canal reflects the dynamic process of the Grand Canal from a lake channel to a river channel, and is a "living fossil" reflecting the relationship between the Grand Canal and the lake.[78]

Pingjinyan Site
The site of Pingjin Weir is the west dike of the old road on the opposite bank of Zhenguosi Pagoda of the Grand Canal. It was originally a water conservancy facility built by Li Jifu, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty and the Huainan provincial envoy, to regulate the water level of the canal. There is still an ancient stone weir of nearly 100 meters made of strips of stone in the Ming Dynasty.The stone weir is also the only ancient weir found in the Huaiyang Canal section.In 2014, it was selected into the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.[79]
Gaoyou salted duck eggs have a long history.Yuan Mei, a litterateur in the Qing Dynasty, said: "Gaoyou is the best choice for salted eggs. They are fine in color and rich in oil. They are delicious, unique in flavor, and rich in nutrition. They have six characteristics: pine, sand, oil, fine, fresh, and tender.[29]
