There is a wonder "Snow on White Peak" on Moxin Mountain. Because of the island climate, it is often surrounded by morning fog and evening. In the middle of winter, sometimes it snows on the island. After the snow stops, it will soon turn green again elsewhere. Only Moxin Mountain is covered with snow. Thus, this wonder is formed on the southeast island, where snow is rare. Ciyun Blissful Temple is a complex of Buddhist Pure Land Sect buildings. Covering an area of more than 18000 square meters and a building area of more than 8000 square meters, the plaque on the archway reads "Penglai Island", which is written in calligraphy by Mr. Zhao Puchu. The temple is built in strict accordance with the architectural style of Jiangnan Zen Temple. Entering the mountain gate, the left side is the Fangsheng Pool, the second is the Temple of Heavenly Kings, the third is the Hall of Arhat, and the top is the main hall "Three Holy Halls". There are bell and drum towers and monk's dormitories on both sides. Behind the main hall is the Sutra Pavilion, and the top is the old temple and abbot's yard.
The main building on the left of Moxin Mountain is the "Xianzhi Tea House", and the main building on the right of the mountain is the "Jade Buddha Pagoda", which is complemented by pavilions, steles and other architectural sketches. The whole building looks solemn, rigorous and elegant. A row of walls in the temple are inlaid with eleven pieces of black marble to form a monument wall. The characters on each monument are carved in shade, then painted with real gold powder, and finally painted three layers of raw paint on the stone surface. Therefore, despite years of wind and rain, the monument can still shine in the sun. The content of the poem tablet is "Ten Scenery Poems of Penglai". Daishan has been called Penglai Fairy Island since ancient times. As early as the Qing Dynasty, it has formed "Ten Sceneries" for which many literati wrote poems. Here is a selection of the ten scenery poems written by Liu Menglan, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. They are: "Pumen Dawn", "Remaining Pictures of the Stone Wall", "Nanpu Guifan", "Bamboo Standing Raging Waves", "White Peak Snow", "Lulan Clear Sand", "Stone Bridge Rising in Spring", "Hengjie Fish Market" "Fishing Mountain Mirage", "Qugang Fishing Fire".
Moxin Mountain is said to be Daishan Island shaped like a stone mill, and this Moxin Mountain is in the middle of the island, and it is the highest mountain in the island, so it is called Moxin Mountain. There is another saying that this mountain was originally very high. If you can reach the peak, you can touch the stars in the sky, so it is called "Moxing Ridge".
