In 1980, Silicate was launched as a quarterly magazine.
In 1982, the journal changed its name to Silicate Bulletin, and was issued bimonthly instead of quarterly.[3]
On October 17, 1992, the joint meeting of editorial board members, directors and correspondents of the Silicate Bulletin was held in Guilin, Guangxi.[5]
On March 18, 2000, the fourth editorial board meeting of the Silicate Bulletin was held in Zibo, Shandong Province.[6]
In 2013, the issue was changed from bimonthly to monthly.[3]
In December 2014, the journal was selected into the first batch of academic journals recognized by the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China.[7]
On October 12, 2019, the fifth editorial board meeting of the Silicate Bulletin was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.[8]
On November 26, 2020, the 2020 annual meeting of the fifth editorial board of the Silicate Bulletin was held at the Longzihu Guest House in Bengbu, Anhui Province.[9]

1.
