Electromagnetic coil gun

Electromagnetic wire Electro magnetic Coil Gun is a technical branch of electromagnetic launch, which is usually composed of several coaxial stator coils and an armature coil that can move axially inside. During launch, the stator coils are charged successively by external power supply, which forms a strong magnetic field around the coil and interacts with the magnetic field induced by the armature (or external input) current, Lorentz force is generated to push the armature movement. The armature can be accelerated by multi-stage stator coils in turn, and the armature can be accelerated continuously by precisely controlling the charging time of the stator coils.
As shown in the figure, the current required by each stator coil is smaller than that of the electromagnetic rail gun, and the energy utilization rate is high, which is very useful for accelerating large mass objects.
