Isophos methyl

Organic compound
Methyl isocyanate is an organic compound with chemical formula C fourteen H twenty-two NO four PS, It is a light yellow oily liquid, easily soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, xylene, ether, and difficult to dissolve in water. It is mainly used as a new type of soil insecticide, with strong contact and stomach toxicity, wide insecticidal spectrum, long residual effect period, similar to phoxim, and is mainly used for wheat, peanut, soybean, corn, sweet potato, sugar beet, apple and other crops, It can be used to prevent and control underground pests such as grubs, mole crickets and golden needle worms, as well as slime worms, aphids, tobacco budworms, peach fruit borers, red spiders, etc.
In March 2022, in order to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products, human and animal safety, and ecological environment safety, according to the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Deepening Reform and Strengthening Food Safety, and the Regulations on Pesticide Management, and with the consent of the State Council, it was decided to take elimination measures for four highly toxic agricultural drugs, such as methyl isocyanate. Sales and use will be prohibited from September 1, 2024. As of September 1, 2022, the pesticide registration of its technical drugs and preparations will be revoked and production will be prohibited. The legally produced products can be sold and used within the warranty period, and are prohibited from sale and use since September 1, 2024 [3] [1]

It is mainly used as a new type of soil insecticide with strong contact and stomach toxicity. It has a wide range of insecticides and a long residual effect period. Its control effect on underground pests is similar to phoxim. It is mainly used for wheat, peanuts, soybeans, corn, sweet potatoes, sugar beets, apples and other crops. It can also be used to control underground pests such as grubs, mole crickets, and golden needle worms. It can also be used to control slime worms, aphids, tobacco budworms Peach borer, spider, etc.

usage method

1. Prevention and control of underground pests: 500 mL 40% emulsifiable oil can be used to control mole crickets, grubs and golden needle worms, 50-60 kg water can be added, and 500-600 kg wheat, corn or sorghum seeds can be mixed. The effective control period is generally about 30 days. To prevent and control peanut and soybean grubs, 20% emulsifiable oil 300-450mL per mu was used to make 20kg toxic soil at the sowing time. After hole and strip application, the soil was covered evenly, and the effect of seedling protection was good. To prevent and control white grubs in melon fields, 200mL of 20% emulsifiable concentrate or 100mL of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu and 5kg of bran shall be used as poison bait, which shall be applied in the ditch when planting watermelon.
2. Prevention and control of pests on the ground: 400mL of 20% emulsifiable concentrate and 100L of water shall be applied to the base of sugarcane seedlings per mu of sugarcane weevil and covered with soil. The peach fruit borer is sprayed on the soil surface in the tree tray with 500 mL of 40% emulsifiable concentrate and 150 L of water per mu. It is better to spray cotton weevil in the morning, with 25 mL of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, and spray water. Aphid and armyworm are sprayed with 2000 times of 20% emulsifiable concentrates every time.
