The predecessor of Jiangxi Normal University was founded in 1940 National Chung Cheng University 。 [81] It was renamed Nanchang University in 1949. In 1953, some colleges and departments of Nanchang University were adjusted to colleges and universities in and outside Jiangxi Province, and Jiangxi Normal University was founded on this basis. Predecessor of school

  • National Chung Cheng University (1940-1949)
The predecessor of Jiangxi Normal University is National Chung Cheng University 。 [81] In the summer of 1934, Chiang Kai shek And the then Chairman of Jiangxi Provincial Government Xiong Shihui When visiting Mount Lushan Xiufeng together, we envisioned the establishment of "Zhongzheng University" in Jiangxi. In 1936, Chiang Kai shek allocated 1 million yuan to establish the fund. In April 1940, the kuomintang The Executive Yuan passed a resolution to name the university "National Chung Cheng University", which is directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Education. In June, the Preparatory Committee of Zhongzheng University officially opened in Xingling, a suburb of Taihe County. At the beginning of October 1940, President Hu Xiansu On October 31, the school officially opened in Xingling, Taihe County, Jiangxi Province. [82]

At the beginning of its establishment, the school set up "three schools and nine departments", such as the College of Grammar and Law, the College of Engineering, and the College of Agriculture, and opened specialized courses in teacher training, administration, and taxation. In January 1945, the Japanese invaders invaded, Zhongzheng University moved to Ningdu, Longling Branch was cancelled, and moved to Changshengxu, Ningdu with the headquarters. In April, the school resumed classes in Changsheng. After the Anti Japanese War ended, in October, Zhongzheng University decided to temporarily move to Nanchang, with the former military and political department barracks in Wangchenggang, the northern suburb, as the temporary campus. At the end of December, the school relocation was basically completed. On January 7, 1946, the school officially resumed classes. On August 1, 1949, the university was renamed "National Nanchang University". On August 27, 1949, based on the August 1st Revolutionary University and National Nanchang University, it was merged with the former Jiangxi Provincial Engineering College, Agricultural College, Sports College, etc. to form "Nanchang University" and moved into Nanchang City. In November 1950, the campus of Nanchang University moved to a new site, namely Qingshanhu Campus, which is now located at the intersection of Beijing West Road and Wenjiao Road.   • Jiangxi Normal University (1953-1983)

In October 1953, it was founded based on the adjusted Nanchang University Jiangxi Teachers' College Nanchang University was revoked. Jiangxi Normal University inherited all the buildings of Nanchang University, most of the books and materials as well as some instruments and equipment, and retained one third of the teaching staff. In 1977, China's college entrance examination enrollment system was restored, and Qingshanhu Campus of Jiangxi Normal University welcomed the first four-year undergraduate students after the "Cultural Revolution". In 1978, the school began to enroll graduate students. In 1981, the Department of Chinese Ancient Literature was identified by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as one of the first majors with the right to confer master's degrees. [84]

Zhengda Square

Zhengda Square is located in the center of Zhengdayuan in Yaohu Campus, facing Yaohu Lake to the east and Ziyang Avenue to the south. It is the first large-scale art building in the east of Nanchang City. The predecessor of the university is National Chung Cheng University, which is called "Zhengda" for short. Zhengda Square, Zhengda Gate and Zhengda Square are all named here. The shape of Zhengda Square is transformed from the ancient square four corner archway, which reflects the ancient farming tradition and cultural concept of China. The four pillars of Zhengda Square and the eight beams connecting the pillars symbolize that the school is committed to cultivating talents for the society. [104]

University History Monument

The school history monument, also known as the school history column, is located in the center of the Zhengda Square at the main entrance of the school and consists of eight huge stone columns. Under each stone pillar, there are marble carved pictures and texts of the school history around the base. The eight stone pillars are carved with the development history of Jiangxi Normal University. They are: magnificent history, white deer pioneering, Xingling Zhaoji, South Jiangxi Lizhi, Wangcheng Kaixuan, Qinglan Revolution, taking mountains back, Yao Lake Xiange. The school history column is one of the landmark buildings of Jiangxi Normal University. [104]

Peach and plum tripod

Shen Peng, an alumnus of our school and honorary chairman of the Chinese Calligrapher's Association, invested 500000 yuan to celebrate the 70th birthday of his alma mater and cast a bronze tripod for his alma mater, which is called "Peach and Lee tripod", implying that his alma mater has worked hard and the world is full of peaches and plums. Mr. Shen Peng wrote "Peach and Li Tripod" in his own handwriting. [104]

School Day Bell

The large bronze bell with light ancient copper color is magnificent. The bell has a high shoulder, a diameter of the lower mouth, weighs about 2.76 tons, and is about from the ground. It is made of refined copper materials, and its sound is rich and melodious. The front is inscribed with "The Big Bell Inscription in Parallel", with 512 words, which describes the 70 year development of our school. The Parallel Preface of Big Bell Inscriptions was written by Mr. Liu Shinan, a famous scholar and an old professor of the School of Literature of our university. The celebration bell was cast by Jiangxi Press and Publication Group and Jiangxi Xinhua Distribution Group Co., Ltd. with a donation of 500000 yuan. It was transported to Yaohu Campus on August 5, 2010 and hoisted in place. [104]

Ehu Bay

From the northeast of Zhixing Building and Bailu Guild Hall to the northwest water surface. The "Ehu Bay" is associated with the "Ehu Academy" of Jiangxi's "four major academies", which implies the continuation of Jiangxi's highly developed ancient academy culture. It can not only reflect the characteristics of the school, but also have regional cultural personality. The "Goose Lake Bay" is one of the corners of the "Goose Lake". There are various birds in the bay, which vividly portrays the beautiful ecological environment of the school. [104]

Central Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Factory Shed Factory

It is the fuselage welding workshop and aircraft hangar of the former "Central Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Factory" (also known as "Sino Italian Aircraft Manufacturing Factory"), which was built in 1935 by four Italian airlines. Because of the transliteration of the word "Hangar" in English, people at that time also called it "Genaku". In October 2010, the whole building was restored to its original color and declared as a key cultural relics protection unit in Jiangxi Province. [104]
