Climate Change: Scientific Issues Around Us starts from the basic concepts of climate change science, including weather and climate, the composition and interaction of the climate system, greenhouse effect and greenhouse gases. It briefly describes the observation of the global climate system, the overview of climate change research, and the scientific assessment activities of the IPCC. Based on the fourth IPCC assessment report and the main facts of global climate change observed, this paper reviews the development process of climate system models and the establishment process of greenhouse gas emission scenarios, and introduces the methods for predicting future climate change. This paper briefly introduces the new research results of the evolution trend of surface climate elements in the main regions of China in the past hundred years, and comprehensively analyzes the characteristics of future climate change in China.
