The predecessor of the National Key Laboratory for Strength and Mechanical Structures of Major Equipment in Complex Service Environment is the State Key Laboratory for Strength and Mechanical Structures, which was invested and constructed by the former National Planning Commission in August 1985; It was completed in October 1988 and opened to the public at home and abroad; In 2011, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved the reconstruction; In 2022, it will be reorganized as the national key laboratory of structural strength and life of major equipment in complex service environment. By June 2023, the total area of the laboratory is about 50000 square meters, and the total value of instruments and equipment is more than 200 million yuan; There are 103 fixed researchers, including more than 30 national level talents. In August 1985, the former State Planning Commission invested in the construction of the first batch of national key laboratories - "State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Structure Strength and Vibration". [1] [17 ]

Intelligent material mechanics and structural multifunction
Guided by the urgent need for the popularization and application of new smart materials, we carried out research on the design theory and method of smart materials multi-functional structures characterized by efficient energy absorption, efficient heat transfer, efficient vibration reduction and noise reduction, including: physical waves, heat transfer and multi field effects in smart materials and structures, innovative smart materials multi-functional structure optimization design theory, methods and preparation technology, Material structure integrated design methods such as load bearing, weight reduction, thermal management, vibration reduction, noise reduction, crashworthiness and energy absorption of structures, multidisciplinary collaborative design theory of material micro configuration and macro structure/component integration, realize the integrated design from intelligent material performance to structural performance. Equipment structure vibration and reliability evaluation
Aiming at the high temperature, high pressure, impact, noise, vibration, strong overload, ultra-low frequency, complex electromagnetic coupling and other harsh comprehensive environments that the equipment bears in the service process, the research on the characterization, simulation, prediction and control methods of structural/environmental coupling effects and thermal acoustic vibration overload impact and other comprehensive mechanical environments was carried out, Including: information acquisition and limited information analysis methods in comprehensive mechanical environment, comprehensive mechanical environment simulation, test theory, methods and technologies, multi-scale analysis methods of structural response in comprehensive environment, virtual test theory and technology in comprehensive mechanical environment, thermal acoustic vibration coupling mechanism, transmission path, active and passive control and analysis methods of large structures Ultra low frequency vibration measurement and accurate control.
