In July 2023, Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Honda Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and decided to recall the following vehicles from July 14, 2023, in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall, the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall and the Regulations on the Administration of Motor Vehicle Emission Recall.
1、 Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd
A total of 12553 domestic hybrid Civic series vehicles produced from July 8, 2022 to March 24, 2023 were recalled.
2、 GAC Honda Motor Co., Ltd
A total of 4142 domestic hybrid version models and hybrid version Zhizai series vehicles produced from January 20, 2022 to March 30, 2023 were recalled.
Due to the setting of the engine electronic control unit (ECU), in extreme cases, the vehicle within the scope of this recall may have the history information of the on-board diagnostic system (OBD) cleared and the condition for the fault lamp to go out inconsistent with the requirements of the light vehicle pollutant emission standards, which may lead to unreasonable emission risks.
Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and GAC Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the ECU of vehicles within the recall scope for free to eliminate unreasonable emission risks.[23]
In January 2024, Honda Technology Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., GAC Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Vehicle Product Recall.A total of 247253 domestic Civic and other series vehicles produced from August 9, 2017 to June 30, 2018 were recalled;During the period from September 1, 2017 to October 30, 2023, a total of 4858 domestic CIVIC and other series vehicles with fuel pumps replaced during after-sales maintenance.[24]
