In 2009, Hangzhou Changsha Section of Shanghai Kunming High speed Railway was started, and Xinyu North Station was confirmed to be built along the line.[3]
In August 2012, the construction of Xinyu North Station started.
On September 16, 2014, Xinyu North Station was put into operation.[2]
On February 7, 2018, the bid for the traffic organization optimization project of the square in front of Xinyu North Railway Station was opened.[4]In July, the main works of Xinyu North Railway Station passenger transfer station were completed.[5]
On January 5, 2019, Xinyu North Station added 9 high-speed trains to Kunming, Nanning, Chengdu, Nanjing, Guangzhou and other directions.[6]
In 2022, open“Railway e-card”Business, realizing the "inspection integration" of boarding and landing.[16]

Design concept
The design concept of Xinyu North Station building is to match Xinyu's new energy concept with the abstract rising sun.Simple arc roof, stretching atmosphere;The oblique arrangement of components on the facade symbolizes the sunshine.[7]

As of September 2014, the building area of Xinyu North Station is 9995 square meters, and the underground overhead floor is 6748 square meters.The depth from north to south is 34 meters, and the width from east to west is 136 meters. The highest point of the main body of the station building is 24 meters from the ground of the elevated platform.Build a 12m wide entrance overpass and an 8m wide passenger exit underpass.Both the basic platform and the intermediate platform are equipped with 450m long two-way cantilevered canopy with columns, with an area of 10680m2.[1]
Overall layout
As of September 2014, the station building of Xinyu North Station is flat on the side of the line, and the station building complex is a two-story building above the ground in the form of reinforced concrete frame structure. The station includes entrance platform, waiting room, entrance passageway, pedestrian overpass, exit passageway, overhead commercial floor and other facilities.Shanghai Kunming High speed Railway has set up Xinyu North Comprehensive Maintenance Work Area and Comprehensive Maintenance Workshop in Xinyu.[1]
As of July 2018, the west area of Xinyu North Station Square is a public vehicle parking lot, and the east area is a bus platform.The passenger transfer station is located in the east parking lot, and the main body is of light steel structure, with business hall, ticket office, duty room, waiting room and other supporting facilities.[5]

Self service ticket purchase
As of September 2014, the ticket office of Xinyu North Station is equipped with online ticket collection self-service machine and self-service ticket vending machine. When the manual window is busy, passengers can choose to buy tickets by themselves.[8]

As of September 2014, the ticket office of Xinyu North Railway Station has a love window specially designed for the disabled to purchase tickets, so that they can easily purchase tickets when sitting in a wheelchair.[9]There is a social vehicle parking lot in the west area of the station square, which can accommodate 575 cars.[5]

Self driving passengers can arrive at Xinyu North Station via Laodong North Road to Zhongling Avenue. Waiting Hall
After the commencement of Xinyu North Railway Station, the Xinyu Municipal Party Committee and the Xinyu Municipal People's Government have planned the new high-speed railway area as a whole. The new high-speed railway area covers 20.19 square kilometers of construction land and is expected to have a population of about 160000. The whole new area is subdivided into 61 square kilometers of planning control area, 41 square kilometers of high-speed railway area, 21 square kilometers of new urban area5 square kilometers of core start-up area and 2 square kilometers of high-speed rail core area.At the same time, the design concept of "taking water as the soul" is highlighted. The city is linked by water.
