The props at the scene of the film used 20 tons of tank models and a model plane to blow up hundreds of vehicles, and 1700 people were present at the most scene[38]。

When shooting in Iceland, the crew walked for several hours in the snow at minus ten degrees because they wanted to shoot a shot of a snow mountain without car marks. They could only eat snow if they could not drink water for several hours.
There is a section of the film that includes the underwater action scene, which lasts for six minutes. When shooting underwater action scenes, Wu Jing was very comfortable in underwater action. When shooting the scene of diving from the deck, Wu Jing dived from the 13m high deck. Although the shot was only a few seconds, in order to coordinate with the photographer, Wu Jing dived for 26 consecutive times.When actually shooting in the open sea, because the current velocity of the day was 15 meters per second, Wu Jing was immediately washed away by the current after entering the water, and finally had to rely on the crew's speedboat to intercept people.
In a five minute hand to hand fight between Wu Jing and Frank Greero, in order to pursue the realism of fist to flesh, Wu Jing gives up the trick and asks Frank to hit his face with his fist.
When shooting another fight scene, it was 9 degrees below zero at night. Wu Jing and another actor were repeatedly fighting in short sleeves, and sometimes they could not even grasp the knife firmly.
When Leng Feng was filming a drag racing scene in a narrow street in a slum, Wu Jing had no protection measures when hanging one arm on a speeding car. He only relied on his arm to ensure that he would not be thrown out.
When shooting the tank drifting, in order to present a better visual picture, Wu Jing drove himself and took pictures several times. Finally, he ran into the tank and leaked oil. There was a risk of explosion at any time.
In the scene of the villains driving tanks crazily hitting the roadside pillars while chasing Wu Jing, Wu Jing is almost hit by the bricks on the pillars.
In order to restore the truth, Wu Jing requires that the explosion scenes of planes, tanks, off-road vehicles and so on be as real as possible. When shooting an explosion scene, Wu Jing's ears were temporarily deaf.
In order to better interpret the role of He Jianguo, Wu Gang joined the group ahead of time and spent more than 20 days practicing lifting a gun. From the beginning, he could not use a gun to the later, he could skillfully complete the one handed cartridge clip change.
