The film tells that 11 years ago, Paul Peina overheard a kind of throat music from Tuva in the shortwave radio. He is infatuated and hopes to blend into blues music. An opportunity prompted him to set out to look for the birthplace, but also to find sincere friendship and the meaning of life. [1]

When Paul Pena finally met Kongar ol Ondar, 11 years had passed since he heard Kongar ol Ondar singing on the radio. They come from two different cultural backgrounds - African American culture and Central Asian nomadic culture. These two people have crossed a long cultural distance and space-time distance, leaving the legend of Genghis Blues. Paul Pena died of pancreatic cancer on October 2, 2005. Kongar ol Ondar died in Kyz, the capital of Tuva, in 2013. [2]
