In December 2018, according to the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China removed Zhang Jiming from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Gambia.[1]
On October 27, 2023, the sixth meeting of the Standing Council of the 8th Council of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation was held in Beijing, and Zhang Jiming was appointed Secretary General of the 8th Council of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.[7]
