In the late 1906, 6mile Cohl, a Frenchman, used the stop frame technique in photography to shoot the first animation series Fantasmage. A series of changing images in Phantom Collection exude unique charm. Although their techniques are too simple and crude, they are still charming. In 2006, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, it was awarded the second place in the "Century of Animation · 100 Works".^[2]
