Changshu Taizhou Expressway starts from Dongbang Hub in Changshu City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province in the north and ends at Wu'ao Hub in Sanmen County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province in the south, with a total length of 335.779 kilometers[10]。

On January 13, 2005,Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China(TodayMinistry of Transport）Promulgate the Planning of China's Expressway Network（“7918 Project”）, and stipulatesNational HighwayThe numbering rules of the trunk line, regional loop line and branch line of, the branch line sequence has two parallel lines, one of which is Changshu Taizhou Expressway (Changshu Taizhou Expressway), numbered "National Expressway G15W”[3]。
From 13:00 to 16:00 on January 14, 2011, pavement construction was carried out at K123-K124, Su Xiang, G15W Changtai Expressway, which was temporarily closed during constructionHard Shoulder。From 6:00 to 18:00, G15W normal high speed-S11Zhajiasu ExpresswayPavement construction shall be carried out in both directions along the whole line, and the main lane and overtaking lane shall be temporarily closed during construction.From 6:00 to 18:00, pavement construction will be carried out on the whole line of G15W Changtai Expressway - S11 Zhajiasu Expressway, and hard shoulders will be temporarily closed during construction[8]。
On September 7, 2017, the People's Republic of ChinaGeneral Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine(Incorporated into the Market Supervision and Administration Department)《Highway route identification rules and national highway number》(GB/T 917-2017, replacing GB/T 917-2009). Due to the problems of over capacity and inconvenience in the use of the original rules for the numbering of parallel lines, this revision is to adopt the numbering method consistent with that of interconnection lines, and the number of Changtai Expressway is changed to "National Expressway G15"twenty-two”[1-2]。
On July 19, 2013, the whole line of Changtai Expressway was opened to traffic.
On January 10, 2023, Changshu High tech Zone of Changshu Taizhou Expressway was officially opened to traffic[6]。On April 21, the section from Suzhou North Hub to Yinshan Hub of Changtai Expressway was officially lit[7]。
