The committee is headed by 11 members. They are designated by the President and confirmed by the Senate for a seven-year term. The President designates one of the members as the chairman and vice chairman Commissioned by Members are elected once a year. The Chairman is responsible for organizing and coordinating the overall work of the Committee, and contacting other government departments on behalf of the Committee on legislative issues.
