In September 2013, the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television approved the establishment of the Cryptographic Journal.[1]

In April 2015, the journal passed the“China Science Citation Database”(Chinese Science Citation Database, CSCD) quantitative selection and qualitative evaluation of experts have officially become the source journal of the core database of China Science Citation Database.
