Tianjin Second Medical College
In 1950, Tianjin Health School was established.
In 1961, the three specialties of the Technical Secondary School of Tianjin Medical College were merged with the midwifery specialty of the Nursing Midwifery School and the nurse specialty of the Nursing School, and Tianjin Health School was restored. The campus was moved from Guangdong Road to No. 265 Machang Road.
In March 1979, with the approval of the State Council, the school was upgraded to Tianjin Medical College, led by the Municipal Health Bureau and the Education Bureau, and retained the technical secondary school. All work was under the leadership of the medical college.
In June 1984, according to the document of the Ministry of Education, Tianjin Second Medical College was established, and the Technical Secondary School was renamed as the Technical Secondary School of Tianjin Second Medical College.
In September 1992, the Technical Secondary School of Tianjin Second Medical College was renamed as the Affiliated Health School of Tianjin Second Medical College.[13]
Consolidation
In 1993, Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Tianjin Municipal Government decided to merge Tianjin Medical College and Tianjin Second Medical College to form Tianjin Medical University, which was approved by the State Education Commission in December of the same year.In June 1994, Tianjin Medical College and Tianjin Second Medical College officially established Tianjin Medical University;[8]In the same month, the Affiliated Health School of Tianjin Second Medical College was renamed as the Affiliated Health School of Tianjin Medical University.[13]
In 1997, Tianjin Medical University entered the country“211 Project”The International College of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine was officially established as a key construction team.
