General Tian No.1 (Alamch), i.e Andromeda gamma (γ And), is a andromeda Four star system. Its apparent magnitude is 2.27, the third brightest star in the Andromeda galaxy. It is only better than alpheratz and Mirach A little darker, they are the brightest stars in the constellation. Tianda General I is about 350 light years away from the earth. The brighter Tianda General-A, Ba and Bb are orange or yellow, and the darker Tianda General-C is blue and white. [1]

General Tianda Junyi looks like a star to the naked eye, but it is actually a multi star system. Its main components are γ 1 and γ 2, or Tianda General-A and Tianda General-BC. The γ 2 system itself is a multi star system, consisting of a spectral binary system B and a companion star C, whose operating cycle is 4748 years. [1]
