Ryoyi Sakamoto's music style changes from lyrical orchestras to cold modern electronics, from noisy and sharp tones to simple and pure folk songs. Through the mottled and gorgeous colors of music, we can feel his creation idea, that is, combining tradition and modernity, while absorbing the essence of national style, we continue to explore new music expression ways. The film soundtrack is an important part of Ryoyi Sakamoto's creation. He can integrate his own style with the film itself, giving more value to the notes that originally depended on the existence of the film[83](Review of Music Lovers)。In "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence", Ryoyi Sakamoto modulates the timbre unique to the East, such as bangu, into the background color of the drawing board, and then uses orchestral music to paint colorful chords.《The Last Emperor》In China, Ryoyi Sakamoto integrated the oriental flavor into the western orchestral music, creating an emotional style of cadence, which perfectly matched the picture and theme of the film and deeply moved the audience[20](Review of College Guide)。
Yoichi Sakamoto is a respected Japanese musician: on the one hand, he has a very inspirational grasp of multiple musical styles such as electronics, rock, jazz, etc;On the other hand, he can find a balance between business, art and experiment, and make works with both experimental significance and beautiful melody[14](Review of Beijing News)。
Yoichi Sakamoto is an internationally renowned composer. His music works have rich cultural connotations, convey humanistic care, and move people's hearts.Sakamoto is enthusiastic about people to people and cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and has created many excellent music works with Chinese elements. He has made contributions to the friendly exchanges between the two countries with practical actions[97]。(Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ChinaMaoningComment)
