In 1952, the predecessor of the school, Harbin Commercial Middle School, was established upon the agreement of the Ministry of Education, the Northeast People's Government and Harbin Municipal People's Government.
In 1953, the Ministry of Trade of the Northeast People's Government decided to establish Harbin Business School on the basis of Harbin Business School.
On May 1, 1955, the Ministry of Commerce transformed Harbin Commercial School into Heilongjiang Harbin Commercial School.
On March 28, 1956, the Ministry of Commerce decided to change Harbin Business School in Heilongjiang Province into Harbin Department Store and Cultural Goods Specialized Technical School in Heilongjiang Province.
On May 14, 1957, Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Commerce decided to change its name to Harbin Industrial Commodity School.
On September 11, 1958, with the approval of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Committee, Heilongjiang Business School was officially established, and Heilongjiang Service Technical School was incorporated into Heilongjiang Business School.
In 1959, the school developed the first 601 dumpling machine in China. The original Heilongjiang Service Technical School partly ran independently and was transformed into Heilongjiang Service Technical School (nowHeilongjiang Vocational and Technical College of Tourism、Heilongjiang Vocational College of Commerce）。At the end of the 1950s, the school used chlorella to solve the problem of harm to human health caused by alternative food.
In 1970, Heilongjiang Business School was abolished.
In 1972, Heilongjiang Business School was restored and transformed into Heilongjiang Business School.
In 1976, Heilongjiang Business School was upgraded to Heilongjiang Business School.
In 1982, he began to enroll and jointly cultivate master degree students.

In March 1956, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Finance reported to the Provincial People's Committee for approval to establish the Heilongjiang Provincial School of Financial Cadres.
In 1960, the school was changed into Heilongjiang Provincial Finance and Accounting School.In the same year, the school initiated one of the three major accounting methods in China, the "double entry accounting method of property receipt and payment".
In May 1972, Heilongjiang Provincial Finance Cadre School was restored.
On March 13, 1973, the higher authorities approved the establishment of Heilongjiang Accounting School.
On March 8, 1978, the higher authorities approved to change the name of Heilongjiang Accounting School to Heilongjiang Finance School.
In 1981, Heilongjiang Finance School was upgraded to Heilongjiang Finance College.
In 1994, the National Education Commission approved Heilongjiang Finance College to be renamed Heilongjiang Finance College.[36-37]
