"Launch" refers to the use of a mechanical device to launch the object in question. The target of the word must be bullets, shells, rockets air waves , artificial satellite, spacecraft and other concrete concepts. The "auspicious light" in the first sentence is a kind of luminous substance, and the "rhetorical question" in the second sentence is an abstract concept. Neither of them can use "launch" as its dominant language. In both sentences, "launch" can be changed to "send".
