At the initial stage of Shuangqiao Station, it only passed through without passenger and freight business.Counter-Japanese WarPeriod, 1938JapanDuring the construction of Jinggu Line, Shuangqiao Station will be rebuilt, and the station line will be increased to two and a half lanes, and expanded to an intermediate station.The People's Republic of ChinaAfter establishment, Shuangqiao Station will be planned as an auxiliary marshalling station in the east of Beijing Terminal in the general layout plan of Beijing Terminal[1-2]。1956, Beijing Southeast Ring RoadBaiziwan StationIt is connected to Shuangqiao Station, and the station line of Shuangqiao Station is expanded to three strands and half lane.In 1958, some earthworks were stopped after completion.An additional line was built in 1965.In 1973, six and seven unloading lines with two strands were added[1]。In 1975, in order to cooperate with the opening of Tongtuo Line, Shuangqiao Station was expanded as a transitional measure[1-2]。In 1976, the construction design of Shuangqiao Marshalling Station was completed.On November 24, 1979, Shuangqiao Station was moved to the new station.On January 21, 1983, Shuangqiao Station was directly under the Beijing Railway Branch, and was designated as a third class station on March 1, 1983[1]。From 1975 to 1984, Shuangqiao Marshalling Station Project was completed in batches and put into use[1-2]。In 1979, Beijing railway hub was expanded again. Shuangqiao Station continued to expand after 1984, and 126 track stations were completed by 1988[2]。On December 15, 1985, electrification was successfully tested at Shuangqiao Station.At the end of 1987, Shuangqiao Station was expanded to a secondary three yard auxiliary marshalling station, with a total investment of 170 million yuan.On April 1, 1988, Shuangqiao Station was rated as a second-class station.[1]
Shuangqiao Station is the convergence point of Shuangfeng Line, Xingdou Line, Beijing Chengde Line and Beijing Qinhuangdao Line.By the mid-1990s, there were 8 lines in the up field, 7 lines in the down field, 17 lines in the shunting yard, 1 automatic hump, and 3 shunting machines for marshalling, disengaging, picking up and dispatching.In the mid-1990s, there were 3536.2 inbound and outbound trains per day, 29.4 trains per day and 27.7 trains per day.13 vehicles are loaded and 41 vehicles are unloaded per day.91.5 pairs of daily delivery trains and 39 pairs of passenger trains.In 1995, there were 1.356 million inbound and outbound vehicles, carrying 151000 passengers, delivering 385000 tons of goods, and the annual revenue was 19.12 million yuan.[1]
