Bowang District is located at the lower reaches of the Shuiyang River and Qingyi River. The landform is half mountain and half polder. The northern part is hilly area, and the southern part is polder area. The whole terrain is high in the north and low in the south.The polder area belongs to the alluvial plain of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a ground elevation of about 7-9 meters (Wusongkou base level), and the terrain is gentle;The elevation of the hilly area is about 20-300 meters, and the highest elevation of Hengshan Mountain is 458.9 meters.[3]

The tone of the voice is divided into yin and yang.There is also a kind of slang in the Bowang area, which is called "Kanzi" by the local people.
