Central University College of Agriculture
The predecessor of the College of Agriculture of Central University can be traced back to the Agricultural Museum Department set up by Zhang Zhidong in Sanjiang Normal School in 1902, and later changed to the Agricultural Museum Department of Liangjiang Normal School. In 1917, Nanjing Normal University added a specialized agricultural department. [210] In December 1920, the National Southeast University was founded on the basis of Nanjing Normal University. In 1921, the Department of Agriculture was established. [278] In 1922, it was merged into the Agricultural Department of Southeast University. In 1923, Nanjing Normal University was officially abolished. [279] Since 1927, Southeast University has been renamed as the Fourth Sun Yat sen University. Cooperation and exchange

As of May 2024, the university has become increasingly active in foreign exchanges, and has maintained joint student training, academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with more than 170 overseas high-level universities and research institutions in more than 50 countries and regions. With the University of California Davis, Cornell University, Ghent University in Belgium, Macy University in New Zealand and other world famous universities, dozens of long-term and short-term exchange projects abroad, such as "exchange and study visits", "undergraduate double degree", "undergraduate double degree" and "master double degree" were carried out. [31]
In 2007, it became a "Chinese government scholarship institution" of the Ministry of Education. In 2008, it became one of the first "education foreign aid bases" in China. In 2012, it was approved to build the world's first Confucius Institute with agricultural characteristics. In the same year, it initiated the establishment of the "World Agriculture Prize", which has been awarded to 12 winners from Cornell University, University of California Davis, Ohio State University, Bonn University, University of Alberta, Ghent University of Belgium, University of Ghana, Catholic University of Chile, China Agricultural University and Merckle University for nine consecutive times. In 2014, the school was jointly approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education to establish the "China ASEAN Education and Training Center". In 2019, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to cooperate with Michigan State University to establish the Michigan College of Nanjing Agricultural University. "Sino US Joint Research Center for Food Safety and Quality", "China Kenya Joint Laboratory for Crop Molecular Biology along the Belt and Road", "Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation in Animal Health and Food Safety", "International Joint Research Center for Animal Digestive Tract Nutrition" and "Sino British Joint Research Center for Plant Phenomics" have been established "Nanjing Agricultural University - University of California Davis Global Health Joint Research Center", "Asian Agricultural Research Center" and other international cooperation platforms. In December 2021, it led the establishment of the "China CEE University Federation Cooperation Community on Agriculture and Life Sciences". [31]

The Student Union of Nanjing Agricultural University is a mass organization representing the young students of the university under the joint leadership of the Nanjing Agricultural University Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Jiangsu Students' Federation and guidance of the Youth League Committee of the university. It is a member unit of the National Students' Federation and a vice chairman unit of the Jiangsu Students' Federation. [69]

In the family area of Nanjing Agricultural University, there is a four pillar and three room soaring archway, slightly higher in the middle and slightly lower on both sides. The memorial archway is a typical Chinese style, giving people a beautiful and cordial feeling of "as bright as spring". According to textual research, this memorial archway is the south gate of the Women's School of the National Revolutionary Army Memorial School. [112]

Peach and plum corridor
"Peaches and plums don't speak, but they make their own way down". The Peach and Plum Corridor is located on the south side of Qinren Slope, also designed by Mr. Zhou Yongsheng. The couplets on the east and west ends of the corridor were created and written by Mr. Dan Yun. On the east side is a running script, which reads "Take the past into consideration and take the present into account, plough the tobacco, plough the rain and sow the spring breeze". On the west side is a clerical script, which is excerpted from Zhu Xi's poem, "The discussion of old learning becomes more profound, and the cultivation of new knowledge becomes more profound". It is worth mentioning that the plaque of Taoli Gallery was written by Professor Jin Shanbao when he was a hundred years old. [112]

In the center of the T-shaped intersection of Zhongyang Road and Jinling Road in Weigang Campus with one heart, there stands a tripod shaped like the Houmu Wuding (also called Simu Wuding). The Houmu Wufeng seals the codes and stories of the Shang Dynasty, and this tripod carries the history and development of Nannong. This tripod was a gift from the People's Government of Jiangsu Province to the school in 2002, and congratulated nine homologous colleges and universities in Jiangsu on their remarkable achievements in 100 years of development. Primrose pavilion

On the alumni mountain in Nanyuan student living area of Weigang Campus, the Spring Pavilion has stood for many years. In 1993, in order to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the school held the next year, 140 students from 6 classes of the 1972 Department of Agronomy decided to raise funds to establish a "Spring Pavilion", which expressed their gratitude to their alma mater and teachers for their hard work. Mr. Zhou Yongsheng from the Infrastructure Department received the request from the students and expressed his willingness to help with the design. At the end of the same year, the Spring Kiosk designed by Mr. Zhou was completed in Xiaoyou Mountain. Gather sharp hexagonal cornices on the roof, and take the momentum to fly upward. Black tiles and red pillars, between which there are beautiful chairs and bluestones. The words of the Spring Pavilion are very particular. The inscription "Spring Pavilion" was written by Mr. Jiang Hua of the Fine Arts Department of Huaiyin Normal University. The second pair of couplets of "Flying all over the world with Lingyunzhi, offering coral to repay the auspicious branch" and "All of us are excellent, and our generation can not have the heart of the country" was written by Liang Zhiguo, an alumnus of international trade in 2001.
