  • Branch of Beijing Foreign Studies University
In 1963, Beijing Foreign Language School was founded.
In 1978, the Branch of Beijing Foreign Studies University and the Branch of Beijing Language and Culture University were founded.

  • Branch of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
On December 22, 1982, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipal People's Government agreed to merge the Second Branch of Beijing Institute of Technology into the Branch of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications to train 800 radio technicians. In 1978, the first branch of Beijing Normal University and the second branch of Beijing Normal University were established.   • Branch of Beijing Aviation University
In 1978, Beijing Second Light Industry Bureau and Beijing Institute of Aeronautics jointly established the Second Branch of Beijing Institute of Aeronautics, which was located in Chaoyang District Plastic Products Factory. The First Branch of Beijing Aviation University, the First Branch of Beijing Second Medical College and the Second Branch of Beijing Normal University were founded.

At the initial stage of the merger, the second branch of Beihang University was renamed as the second branch, and the school buildings have not been changed. The branch of Beihang University runs schools in two locations, and Balizhuang campus is one of them.
In December 1983, the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the Beijing Municipal Government made a further decision to incorporate the suspended First Branch of Beijing Second Medical College and the Second Branch of Beijing Normal University into the Beijing Branch of Beijing Airlines, and made it clear that the Beijing Branch of Beijing Airlines would build the school step by step based on the site of the First Branch of Beijing Second Medical College located at 55 Pen'er Hutong, The leading cadres and staff of the Second Branch of Beihang University originally transferred from the Beijing Second Light Industry Bureau were transferred back to the Beijing Second Light Industry Bureau, and the school building located in Balizhuang was returned to the Beijing Second Light Industry Bureau.

  • Tsinghua University Campus
In November 1978, with the consent of the Municipal Party Committee, a temporary leading group of Tsinghua No. 1 Branch was established, and the preparation of Tsinghua No. 1 Branch was started on the basis of the original conditions of No. 91 Middle School. Tsinghua No. 1 Branch School enrolled the first class of students at the end of 1978, and did not enroll students for the next three years. In 1982, it enrolled the second class of students, two classes of electronic technology.
On December 22, 1982, the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the Beijing Municipal Government agreed and forwarded the Request for Instructions on the Adjustment and Construction of University Branches issued by the University Work Department of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Higher Education.   • The First Branch of Renmin University of China
In 1978, Renmin University of China actively responded to the call of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee to open a branch school in Beijing, and began to prepare to build the first branch school of Renmin University of China on the site of Beijing 117 Middle School selected by the municipal government.
In July 1983, the branch of Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade and the first branch of Renmin University of China were substantially merged. The school was named as the first branch of Renmin University of China, and the school address was still 14 Xizhaosi Street, Chongwen District. Part of the campus of the branch of Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade located in the Waiguanxie Street outside Andingmen Gate was transferred to the second branch of Beijing Normal University. [40]

In 1978, the first branch of Peking University was located in 183 Middle School, and the branch of Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Language and Culture University were located in Xicheng Teachers' Training School. In March 1980, according to the document (JZF (1980) No. 20) issued by the Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Foreign Language School merged with the branch of Beijing Foreign Language Institute and Beijing Language Institute into a new branch of Beijing Foreign Language Institute.
In August 1981, the three schools completed the entity merger, and the branch of Beijing Foreign Studies University ended the school running at Baiduizi, Fucheng Road, and the west entrance of Fuchengmenwai, and all moved to the original site of Beijing Foreign Studies University. [46]

In January 1996, the campus of Beijing Union University was moved to No. 97, North Fourth Ring East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing. In January 2001, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission agreed to transfer the School of Chemical Engineering of Beijing Union University and the Staff University of Beijing Chemical Industry Group to Beijing Union University. In 2002, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission proposed to the university the task of undertaking the training base of undergraduate technical applied talents, requiring it to gradually expand the scale of undergraduate students to a certain extent, reduce the scale of higher vocational students, gradually adjust the structure, integrate resources, adjust the layout of colleges according to the discipline and specialty groups, suspend Pinggu Campus, move back to Langfang Campus, and many colleges suspend higher vocational education.
In December 2003, the Ministry of Education approved Beijing Union University to pilot the demonstration software vocational and technical college, and Beijing Union University Netcom Software Vocational and Technical College was officially established.
In May 2004, the Municipal Education Commission agreed to establish Pinggu College of Beijing Union University.
In October 2008, the Municipal Education Commission agreed that Beijing Chemical School, Beijing Medical Technology School and Beijing Medical Instrument School were incorporated into Beijing Union University. [11]
In January 2012, Beijing Union University and Beijing University of Science and Technology Sign the strategic cooperation framework agreement.
In January 2013, the university was selected as a national university to implement the innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students.
In 2017, the school again carried out resource integration, established two new colleges, adjusted and renamed four colleges, removed the Changping campus, and moved the original two colleges to the North Fourth Ring Campus and the Beiyuan Campus to run schools. The school was approved as the "Belt and Road" national talent training base in Beijing.

In December 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology sent a letter to approve the school to launch the construction plan of "school enterprise collaborative employment entrepreneurship innovation demonstration practice base", which was included in the first batch of "demonstration base" construction units nationwide. In January 2024, Beijing Union University signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with the Hetian District Administrative Office and the Hetian Headquarters of Beijing Municipal Aid to Xinjiang, establishing the Hetian Research Institute. [58]
