audience hall

The main hall is the official history part. In the center, there is a statue of Lord Bao. It is more than 3 meters high, with a boa robe and jade belt, sitting on the armchair, as strong as loose, dignified and dignified. There are historical relics on both sides of the statue of Lord Bao, including bowls, lamps, wooden figurines and ordinary inkstones unearthed from the tomb of Lord Bao. The gable is inlaid with painted pottery murals reflecting the political achievements of the Lord Bao, and the murals have dragon and phoenix patterns on the edges, showing the spirit and dignity of the Lord Bao. [3]

Second Hall

In the Second Hall, there is a rubbings of Bao Gong's stone carvings. The lines are clear, vivid and vivid, which vividly reproduce the demeanor of Bao Gong. What was even more touching was a family motto left by Lord Bao: "If there are people who have committed corruption in future generations, they should not be released to their own families; if they die, they should not be buried in the great tombs. If they do not follow my will, they should not be my descendants." This more fully reflects the noble character of Lord Bao, who is pure hearted and disinterested, and who is honest in performing his official duties, as well as his selfless spirit of hating evil as an enemy and hating corrupt officials. In the center of the Second Hall stands a stone tablet titled "The Title of Kaifeng Mansion", which is a relic of the Northern Song Dynasty. It bears the names of 183 Kaifeng officials in the Northern Song Dynasty and the dates of their appointment. Only a deep finger mark appeared under the name of Lord Bao. This is the finger mark that people grind out because they respect and love Bao Gong and point out when they watch the stele inscriptions. It is an evidence that Bao Gong is respected by people. Wang Yun, a poet of the Yuan Dynasty, wrote a poem praising the sun: "Wipe off the remnant stele to see the glory of virtue, and cover the model for thousands of years to see the left topic. The frightened crows surround the cypresses in the atrium, still afraid of the frost, and dare not live there." In the poem, he praised the great virtue and reputation of Bao Gong and Fan Zhongyan for thousands of years, and compared the corrupt officials in the palace to the abominable crows. Even though thousands of years later, seeing the stele is like seeing two men, he is still extremely frightened and dare not stay near. It can be seen that "Bao Qingtian" deserves his reputation. [3]

East and west side hall

The eastern and western side halls display the legends, historical stories and beautiful legends of Bao Gong in the form of pictures and texts, such as "Bao Gong throwing inkstone", "Chen Zhou feeding food", "Nu Da Luan Jia", "Zhi Cai Zhao Wang", etc. The three awe inspiring copper choppers in the East Side Hall are vivid, and they open their mouths and look angrily, showing the majesty of Lord Bao to fight the tyrant and pacify the good. The group statue "Bao Gong cuts off the king of Zhao" is an image of Bao Gong's spirit of fearing power and upholding the law like a mountain. In particular, the group wax figure "Guimeian" in the East Hall is the same size as the life size, bright in color, complete in shape and spirit, and lifelike. [3]

Lianquan

Lianquan is located in the east of Baogong Temple and is a well in the flower pavilion. The edge of the well is dark brown bluestone, and on the inside of the stone wall, there are many lines that are deeply cut by the well rope. It is said that Lianquan has a special magical place that different people will have different tastes. Ordinary people will quench their thirst; Clean officials drink it, which is fresh and delicious, mellow and sweet; But if a corrupt official drinks it, it will be bitter, wet and hard to swallow, like a prickle blocking his throat, and he will have a splitting headache on the spot. There is no medicine to cure him. The only prescription that can alleviate the pain is to drink a bowl of dog urine. [6] [8]

No inscription monument

There is also a monument with no inscription left in the Temple of Lord Bao. It is said that the birds in the courtyard circle around the cypress tree, but never stay on the monument with no inscription. Some people say that the birds dare not stay here when they think of Bao Zheng's majesty. [8]
