Rende Street is the political, economic and cultural center of Xundian Hui and Yi Autonomous County, Kunming, Yunnan Province, and the leader and demonstration of county economic development.Since the reform of township institutions in 2009 merged Rende, Tangzi and Jinsuo to establish Rende Town, and in April 2011 removed the town and set up streets, the economy and society have developed rapidly. The original place name of Rende Town was used because of the late Jin DynastyThe first year of TianfuIn 936 (the year of 1936), it was Rendi Department (formerly known as Yijun); in 1255 (the third year of Baoyou in the Southern Song Dynasty), it was Rendi Wanhu Mansion; in 1276 (the 13th year of the Zhiyuan era), it was Rende Mansion; in 1913, it was set up as Rende Town, named after the government in the Yuan Dynasty, which has been in use ever since.

It was called Xuanhuali in the Ming Dynasty and Diantouli in the Qing Dynasty.
In 1949, Rende Town belonged to Rende Second District and was renamed Rende Township.
In 1952, Xundian County was set up in the second district of Xundian, Jinfa Township.
In 1955, Jinfa Township was renamed Jinhua Township.
In 1958, the second district of Xundian was divided into Rocket Commune and Construction Commune;Jinhua Township belongs to Yangjie Dafeng Community;Rende Township was restructured into Rende Administrative Area, belonging to Rocket Commune.
In 1959, Jinsuo Commune was changed into Jianshe Commune.
In 1961, Rende District was set up, and Xundian County seat area was Rende Brigade.
In 1963, Rende Management Area was renamed Rende Town.
In 1966, Rende Town was renamed Hongqi Town;Rende District changed its name to Jianshe Commune.
In 1971, Jianshe Commune was renamed Chengguan Commune, and Hongqi Town was incorporated into Chengguan Commune.
In 1981, Chengguan Commune was divided into Tangzi Commune and Rende Town, and Tangzi District was established in 1984.
In 1984, Chengguan Commune was restructured and divided into Chengguan District and Jinsuo District;Tangzi Commune was restructured into Tangzi District.
In 1988, Chengguan was removed from the district and established as a township;Jinsuo District and Tangzi District are respectively restructured intoJinsuo Township、Tangzi Town。
In February 2006, Chengguan Township was merged into Rende Town.
In November 2009, Tangzi Town and Jinsuo Township were merged into Rende Town.
In April 2011, Rende Town withdrew from the town and set up a sub district office.
In January 2017, Rende Street was divided into Rende Street, Tangzi Street and Jinsuo Street.[1]

In 1997, Rende Town, with an area of 11.9 square kilometers and a population of 16000, governed three administrative villages, namely Nanzhong, Xuefu and Dongfa;Tangzi Town covers an area of 155.9 square kilometers and has a population of 27000. It governs 8 administrative villages, namely, Gathering, Tuanjie, Tangzi, Yilong, Sanzhilong, Zhongling, Bazhe and Maichang;Jinsuo Township covers an area of 272 square kilometers and has a population of 32000. It governs 10 administrative villages including Jinsuo, Zezhi, Zhugou, Zhangsuo, Duogu, Tiansheng, Haizi, Paizai, Qinghai and Xintian.
In 2006, Rende Town governed three community neighborhood committees, namely Xuefu, Nanzhong and Dongfa. The original Chengguan Township covers an area of 124.3 square kilometers, with a population of 30000, and governs six administrative villages, namely, Jianshe, Shengli, Heping, Beiguan, Zhongqiao and Daoyuan;Tangzi Town covers an area of 151.95 square kilometers and has a population of 29400. It governs eight administrative villages, namely, Yunji, Tuanjie, Tangzi, Wheat Farm, Yilong, Zhongling, Sanzhilong and Bazhe;Jinsuo Township covers an area of 283.34 square kilometers and has a population of 34800. It governs 10 administrative villages including Jinsuo, Zetie, Zhugou, Zhangsuo, Xiaoduogu, Tiansheng, Caohaizi, Paizai, Qinghai and Xintian.
