Wutai Movement Wutai orogeny, founded by Ma Xingyuan in 1955, was a folding movement at the end of the Archean. It is determined according to the angular unconformity between the Neoarchean Wutai Group and the Paleoproterozoic Hutuo Group. In a broad sense, the Wutai movement should include three fold episodes: Ganquan unconformity, Tanmashi unconformity and Jindongliang unconformity. In addition to the unconformities found in Taihang, Luliang and Zhongtiaoshan in North China, the isotopic ages of tectonic thermal events related to them have been obtained in Yinshan, Yanshan, eastern Liaoning, southern Jilin and western Henan; In the Kuruktag area of Tarim, Xinjiang, the unconformity between the Dagragbulak Group and the overlying Paleoproterozoic should be equivalent. A zircon U-Pb age of 2451 million years was obtained at the Kangding Group granulite facies horizon on the western margin of the Yangtze paleocontinent, which may also reflect the tectonic thermal events of the Wutai movement.
