December 2009, by Peking University Tsinghua University , Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other 25 scientific research institutions jointly launched the establishment of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society, and submitted the National Society Application Form.
On April 2, 2010, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology replied, "Agree to prepare for the establishment of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society, and agree to act as the competent business unit of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society (KXHXZ [2010] No. 41)".
On July 13, 2011, the Ministry of Civil Affairs "approved the preparation and establishment of the Institute (MH [2011] No. 193)"; On November 30, the inaugural meeting and the first national representative meeting of members of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society were held.

On January 18, 2013, the Ministry of Civil Affairs "approved the establishment and registration of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society (MH 2013 [23])"; On February 28, the Certificate of Legal Person Registration of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society (SZZ No. 4969) was issued; In May, the Chinese Cognitive Science Society completed various registration and filing procedures such as organization code, tax registration and bank account opening. On January 4, 2014, the first meeting of the Academic Committee and Program Committee of the "First Academic Conference of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society: Cognitive Science and Brain Disease Conversion Medicine" was held in Beijing. [4]

Institutional setup

  • The highest authority
The highest authority of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society is the National Congress of Members. The functions and powers of the National Congress of Members are:
(1) To formulate and revise the Articles of Association of the Society;
(2) Elect and remove directors;
(3) Review the work report and financial report of the Council;
(4) Formulate and revise the membership fee standard;
(5) Propose the work policy, tasks and major activity plans of the Society, and summarize the achievements of academic activities;
(6) Decide on termination;
(7) Decide on other major issues.

The Council is the executive body of the National Congress of Members, leading the Institute to carry out daily work when the Congress is not in session, and is responsible for the National Congress of Members.

Organization Member

  • Member classification
There are individual members and unit members of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society. Individual members include ordinary members, student members and communication members.
  • Basic conditions
Those who recognize the Articles of Association of the Institute and meet the following conditions can apply for membership of the Institute.
1. Individual members
(1) Ordinary members shall meet one of the following conditions: 1. Graduates from institutions of higher learning who are engaged in cognitive science research, teaching, production and scientific and technological organization and management, and have a certain academic level; 2. Other cognitive science workers who have not graduated from colleges and universities and engaged in cognitive science work with academic level and work experience equivalent to that specified in the first paragraph; 3. Management workers who enthusiastically and actively support the work of the Institute and have corresponding knowledge.
(2) Student members: undergraduate students or above in institutions of higher learning or scientific research institutes in all disciplines related to cognitive science.
(3) Correspondent members: experts and scholars from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who have made important contributions to the development of cognitive science and have high academic prestige and are enthusiastic about participating in or assisting in organizing the scientific and technological exchanges of the Association.
2. Unit member
Enterprises and institutions related to cognitive science, with a certain number of scientific and technological personnel, willing to participate in relevant activities of the society and supporting the work of the society, such as science and technology, teaching, production, design, etc.
  • Membership and withdrawal
1. The procedures for membership are:
(1) To submit an application for membership, an individual member must be introduced by one member of the Association or recommended by his/her unit;
(2) Approved by the Council or the Standing Council;
(3) A membership card is issued by the Council of the Institute or an institution authorized by the Council.
2. Withdrawal instructions
When a member withdraws from the association, he/she shall notify the association in writing and return his/her membership card. If a member fails to fulfill its obligations for 2 years, it shall be deemed as voluntary withdrawal.
If a member seriously violates the Articles of Association of the Society, he/she will be expelled after being voted by the Council or the Standing Council.
  • rights and duties
1. Members of the Institute enjoy the following rights:
(1) Have the right to vote, stand for election and vote (except for correspondence members);
(2) Preferential participation in academic activities related to the Society, and priority to receive services provided by the Society;
(3) Give priority to obtaining relevant academic materials of the society;
(4) Have the right to criticize, suggest and supervise the work of the Institute;
(5) Voluntary membership and free withdrawal.
2. Members shall perform the following obligations:
(1) Abide by the Articles of Association of the Institute and implement the resolutions of the Institute;
(2) Complete the work entrusted by the Institute;
(3) Actively write academic papers and participate in science popularization activities;
(4) To safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the Association;
(5) Reflect the situation to the society and provide relevant information;
(6) Pay membership dues on time.

The Chinese Society for Cognitive Sciences mainly conducts the following business activities around cognitive science disciplines and related fields:

The funding sources of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society include:

1. Academic Seminar of Alzheimer's Disease Research Group
On June 7, 2014, the "First Academic Conference of the Chinese Cognitive Science Society: Cognitive Science and Transformational Medicine of Brain Diseases - Academic Seminar of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Group", sponsored by the Chinese Cognitive Science Society and organized by the Department of Neurology of the South Building of the PLA General Hospital, was held in the Academic Hall of the Surgical Building of 301 Hospital Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Academician Chen Lin was invited to serve as the chairman of the conference and made an opening report on "the irreplaceable role of cognitive science in brain disease research". From October 9 to 11, 2016, the Second Congress of Cognitive Science and Translational Medicine of Brain Diseases of the Chinese Society of Cognitive Sciences was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It was a working conference lasting for half a year. On October 11, 2016, the "post conference" of the Second Cognitive Science and Brain Disease Translational Medicine Conference of the Chinese Society of Cognitive Sciences was held in Jinjiang Hotel, Chengdu. The "post meeting" held a thematic discussion on the key issues concerned by the participants in the summary meeting. come from Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Dr. Zhang Zihao, an assistant researcher of, made a special report on "7T Brain Imaging and Brain Diseases". Focusing on the three characteristics of 7T MRI system, including high contrast, high signal to noise ratio and multi nuclide imaging, the report introduces the prominent advantages of vascular imaging, structural imaging and sodium imaging in 7T ultra-high field MRI, and jointly discusses the clinical application prospects of 7T MRI. 4. 2016 World Life Sciences Conference
From November 1 to 3, 2016, the 2016 World Conference on Life Sciences, jointly organized by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and the Chinese Society for Life Sciences, was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, China. Academician Han Qide, Vice Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and Professor David Baltimore, the 1975 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine, served as the chairman of the conference.
