In 1947, the Chinese Ceramic Society moved from Chongqing to Shanghai.
In October 1949, the Pottery Workers' Newsletter (later renamed "Kiln Workers' Newsletter", which was closed in 1951) jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Ceramics and the Shanghai Branch was founded in Shanghai.
In October 1950, a joint meeting was held between the Chinese Society of Ceramics and the directors and supervisors of Shanghai Branch, and it was decided to join the All China Federation of Natural Science Specialized Societies and move the Association to Beijing.
  • China Society of Kiln Engineering
In December 1950, the Chinese Society of Ceramics held the fourth meeting of the second board of directors and supervisors, which decided to change the name of the Chinese Society of Ceramics to the Chinese Society of Kiln Engineering from New Year's Day 1951
In October 1951, the Chinese Society of Kiln Engineering stopped its activities, and the Shanghai branch still existed. It was renamed the Preparatory Committee of Shanghai Society of Kiln Engineering.
In June 1957, Silicate was first published in Shanghai.
  • The Chinese Ceramic Society
In November 1959, the first national representative meeting of the Chinese Society of Kiln Engineering was held in Shanghai. The meeting decided to change the name of the society to the Chinese Silicate Society, and change local branches to local societies and be led by local science and technology associations.
In February 1960, the title of "Salts" was changed to "Silicate", but when it was released to the second issue, it was suspended due to the rectification of the publications. Later, it was republished in Beijing in February 1962 and renamed "Journal of Silicate".
In July 1964, the second national representative meeting of members of the Chinese Silicate Society was held in Beijing.
In April 1965, the State restored the establishment of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry, and the Chinese Silicate Society was also affiliated to the Ministry of Building Materials Industry from the Ministry of Construction Engineering, under the leadership of the Science and Technology Bureau.
In June 1966, when the "Cultural Revolution" began, the Chinese Silicate Society was criticized and its activities stopped, and the Journal of Silicate was also closed.
In December 1972, according to the decision of the National Science and Technology Conference that "the Society can carry out domestic scientific and technological exchanges in China", the Society gradually began to resume its activities.
June 1978, closed for 12 years《 Journal of silicate 》Re issue.
In 1982, the magazine "Silicate" edited and published by Tianjin Silicate Society was converted into the journal of China Silicate Society and renamed as《 Silicate Bulletin 》。
